Nigeria

Recently I traveled to Lagos in Nigeria, to deliver motivational lectures, one in Lagos and then one in the capital, Abuja.

Click the radio mic to listen to the interview I gave on Nigerian radio show Inspiration FM with DJ Azubuke Osumili, or Azu for short.

Once the capital city of Nigeria, Lagos is the financial and commercial capital of Nigeria, is the third most populous city in Africa, and is estimated to be the second fastest growing city in Africa at present, and the seventh fastest in the world.

About to take off – I always try to fly British Airways.

I have performed my motivational lectures in many countries, including  South Africa, and I have lectured to a wide range of audiences, but this is the first time I have lectured in Nigeria. With all the travelling I do it is quite rare that I get to see a country, or even a city that I haven’t seen a number of times before.

Comfort! One of the reasons I always try to fly BA, the service is always great.

My “manager-in-law” Shipi, making a phone call.

Great cabin crew, and lots of signed bent spoons.

Soni Irabor from Lagos Nigeria

Mandy Brown-Ojugbana a famous TV host, the Oprah of Nigeria!

In Lagos Nigeria, the scenery is beautiful!

Wole Soyinka, a Nobel Laureate and the most distinguished African philosopher and writer.

Press conference in Lagos Nigeria, about the power of positive thinking.

One of the posters advertising my motivational lecture in Lagos.

My great friend Governor Donald Duke flying into Calabar, his Cross River State in Nigeria.

Great sculpture in Calabar park.

Travelers Palm (Ravenala Madagascariensis) originaly from Madagascar used as a thirst quencher by travelers, in Donald Duke’s home, Calabar.

Dr George Geh and Onari Duke, Donald’s wife, at the Calabar women and children hospital.

Amazing stay in the rain forests of Nigeria, now off to Abuja.

Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom State in south-eastern Nigeria., about 700km East of Lagos.

Now on the way to Abuja, the Capital City of Nigeria.

Driving to Abuja from the airport.

Flying home.

What a fascinating trip! I’ve seen some incredible sights in Nigeria, I’ve met some fantastic and interesting people, I’ve delivered two motivational lectures to two great audiences, given a press conference on the power of positive thinking, no doubt I will be back to Nigeria.
